I play 2NT response as 5-5 n the majors , at least 5 HCP, tough hand to describe and not letting my partner bid 2NT over 2 opening with a good balanced hand :P

I am sorry to say that but Lauria's version does not include a weak 6M (2M rebid) or strong hand (17+) … Lauria's version includes a natural 2 rebid or any hand 15+ without 5-5 or 6-4 type

You may refer to Bocchi's version that only after 1 opening 2 rebid shows 6M rebid or 16+ any, which there is a reason to play that because you may miss a good fit when you rebid 2

I would double looks like we have to make the last guess on this board and looks like the contract is down two .. Do we take 500 instead of 650 .. So 3 imps gain? So im not gonna risk 5hearts dowm ome in imps at the possibility of A of club club ruff amd ace of diamond …. Note : when you make the last guess choose the safest way

In general the idea is …. When lebenshol sequence applies in competitive bidding the responder at the double has to identify his hand…the italian style is reversed than the standart… NT bid (1 or 2) shows a good hamd about 8-11 points and immidiate bid shows 0-7

4 ? A world class player? … OK I suggest then to open the cards on the table and let the opponents see them maybe it will be easier for them

I have something else that you may like :)

3 = 5+-4+x slam try with another suit (3 = R, bids are the same with a slam try hand)
3 = one-suited
3 = 5+-4+, just GF
3 = 5+ - 4+, just GF
3nt = 5-4, just GF
4 = 6-4, just GF

They do not change their bidding system, they change their mentality and style

On the table my bid was 6 clubs cause I thought that if they make 5spades I should bid 6clubs if they don't I should double … my bid was bad and double I think it's clear, pass wasn't in my head as a choice

In my opinion if you play precision as you mentioned so 1 can be short, 2 as reverse flanery weak version is absolutely esential, you will never be able to play in hearts if you have the hearts :P, in precision inverted minors and bidding 1M with 3cards when you have weak minor suit is very good and may ‘steal’ many times the bid from the opponents

I could suggest this way (it's lauria's way and i think its great)

2 = 4-8 with a 6card major (bidding 1M and then 2M is light inv about 9-10 sometimes 11) you can add also 5-5 in the majors inv+ but if you don't practice a lot don't play it
2 = 5-9, 5+-4+
2 = GF with (4)5+
3 = limit raise in (5)6+ cards you loose 3 as minors in this way but i think it's not a big deal)
2 = 10+ forcing, at least 4cards usually denies 4M unless slam try

I still don't understand why you should play this, even if it's legal, there are lot's of other things to put on 2, 2 bids…

Martens is 100% in favour of 1 denies 4M only if GF and if s are longer than the major

In his book camouflage bidding he suggests the following sequence

1 - 1 - 1 - 2 = GF, 5+, 4+

Well, you can count it easily that you are down 10 because they made a doubled art score + 1, when you/they have no game
