What does the title of Life Master mean? From the tone of the conversation it seems to mean a novice with 300 master points. Where did we all go wrong?

This is what happens when politicans who are not expert bridge players(the fact that they are lifemasters does not make them experts although they think it does) tell the rest of us how to evaluate a bridge hand.In my opinion the hight of presumption on the part of the A.C.B.L. Board of Directors.I guess what really bothers me about Drews blog is the chutzpah on the part of anyone telling me how to evaluate a bridge hand.

Kit you must be kidding even if nominated you know as well as i do he would have no chance of being elected just as MURRAY KEHELA were not elected, (but had to be parechutted in by some sort of nominating process)and if the two greatest Canadian players could not get elected imagine Mittelmans chances. Furthermore you are saying that this great Canadian bridge player just happened to have slipped through the cracks and the HoFC simply didnt think of him. Please Kit dont insult my intelligence

nor is the Bermuda Bowl So I guess that doing well in that along with other World Championships should not count towards admission

Nicolas Canadians do not get to represent Canada in international play unless they win the Canadian Championship so that is certainly an important attribute for admission into A.C.B.L.H.all of fame. Unless of course the winning of a Canadian Championship is so trivial that it should not be considered in the election process.Which only points out how rigged the system is against Canada

Nicolas there is only one side the American side for us Canadians the deck is stacked against us. It is hard if not impossible to believe that there has never been one Canadian with enough ability to get elected to the hall of fame. Could it be that the election process is rigged against Canadian players?

the fact of the matter is that no Canadian has ever been elected(someone who lives in Canada that is) to ACBL hall of fame. Now why do you believe that is ? I guess the answer is that there are only deserving American players, Canadians need not apply no matter what there ability is.

I believe there are 5 CANADIANS in the hall of fame all nominated in since there was no chance of them being elected by the electors. A truly shameful situation for Canadian players who pay the same A.C.B.L. dues as the American players do. The deck is stacked against Canadian players. Or if i am to believe past history NO CANADIAN HAS EVER DESERVED TO BE ELECTED INTO THE ACBL HALL OF FAME

George Mittelman is a Canadian playing with Canadians on amature teams. There is no telling what he could have accomplished if he had like all the other hall of fame members been surrounded by American stars. His accomplishments are truly outstanding
