They look familiar, have they played high level bridge before? ;)

Congrats nonetheless, well done.

I dont think anyone here has accused ZB of cheating in Yokohama. In the video someone else might be.

One would think losing seeding points would be the least concern when having played thousands of boards with at least one cheating pair on the team. I think some people need a hefty reality check. This is not business as usual any more.

Who claims they signaled the whole hand? Mosts cheats we know signaled a suit. Think German doctors or FS.

Even more so if the pair in question insisted on being NS every set hence handling the tray.

A hand apparently uninteresting is chosen from The Poland-Brazil match. The lead is made at 17:07. The brazil south holds;
QT9xx QJ9xx x 8x

After the opponents bid 1-1; 3-3N he decides to lead a club (!). Partner holds AJx/xx/Axx/KQTxx. Ironically the normal spade lead beats the contract and the weird club lead lets it make. Granted, if the opponent play 1-1; 3-3 as asking spade stopper, the club lead is less weird.

My amateur psychological theory is that ZB saw this brazilian pair perform and decided “What is good for the goose is good for the gander”.

I havent watched everything. My observation is their pattern of behaviour here is much more timid and static. No correction of dummy with 5/4/3/2 fingers and such.

(edited: changed to 5/4/3/2 fingers from some rubbish)

As a contrast from the Opatija videos, here is the Polish Premier leauge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1mD6EjYngI

“-Is there any other point to which you would like to draw my attention?

-To the curious behaviour of the dog in the night-time”

So why dont they have nervous tics in the Polish Premier Leauge? Why are there no 3/4/5 fingers on the table?

Fast forward a couple of years and Fantoni-Nunes will be back. Must be great to be an honest bridge player in Italy.

BZ regardless of the verdict will have lost their efficiency when video camera is on and/or when opponents dont condone their table manners. They will join a group of other pairs whose efficiency has declined since video recording started.

Why did FS cheat so early? No one asks that.

The defence used against ferts by the Carrot-group of players was basically D=Balanced, 1X is natural, higher is Transfer. It isnt exactly rocket science to learn.

The powers in the WBF (including Bobby Wolff) chose to clamp down on systems not understood by themselves and to not care about rampant cheating. This has basically destroyed international tournament bridge for many years. Nearly all titles are tainted the last 50 years. IMHO the only solution is to get rid of the current international organizations (or the mafia within them) and start anew with bridge targeting the changing world of communication technology and an including approach as opposed to the current state.

We see elsewhere the devastating effects of closing your mind and believing what once was can be recreated if whe choose to ignore change.

When we created Magic Diamond we inherited the transfer responses from Carrotti. If transfer responses are not allowed there is no problem applying a relay structure. I have played 2 as a general FG and 2 as FG with 5+ in the other major. Then again in some “duelling banjos scene”-bridge countries that might not be allowed either.
