High level guesses are common. A 2NT rebid could lead to problems. No guarantees at the bridge table.

You might talk me into bidding 3 Spades. Pass did not occur to me.

I will not play in any event that requires mr to play 3 sessions per day.

I’m reminded of something the late Mike Cappellitti Sr. once told me-I never got a bad result for -230.

If my partner had 4 Spades and short hearts, he would have bid already.

I bid 2D in case partner has his eye on bigger things. I believe I’m worth a raise opposite a 4th seat opener. At IMPs I would just bid the game over 2 H.

I do not consider 2H to be forcing. Raise to game anyway.

I remember the article. As I recall Rubens said declarer should always play for the doubleton ten. I’m going to have to dig that year out of storage to re-read it. My memory is not what it used to be.

It’s fun for me. Would not play otherwise. And humbling.

A 2/1 in a 4 card, 9 high suit, is most unappetizing. One could treat the responding hand as a 3 card limit raise.

I wonder how many ACBL members are aware that, at one time, you lost 1/2 your MP total each year. I believe this practice was discontinued during WWII.

The back of Wes Parker’s 1970 baseball card said he was an excellent bridge player-or something to that effect.
