It was hyped up to be an all-star match and it certainly lived up to the billing, with the match going down to the last board. Congrats to the Samfund team for winning by a final score of 42-36. Thanks to Lindsey and Barry for organizing the event, and thanks to Geoff Hampson for being an awesome partner. Looking forward to the next one!

Quite possibly the hardest I've laughed at a BW comment.

I don't see your resemblance to Mr. Hand.

Thanks to Barry Goren on an outstanding job rounding up some great World Class players to play with us Juniors. We are looking forward to next Sunday's match!

I was live kibbing the table at which the infraction occurred yesterday. I could see and hear everything that was going on. I saw the Precision CCs and the NT opener (N, right?) not alert the NT range. It really wasn't going to affect the match outcome because by that point, a blowout was already in the works but still, a failure to alert is a failure to alert, and changing -1100 to -100 is a very big difference. I agree with the call because they would never have been playing in 3C with correct information.

Thanks Gary! I'm a member of the Dhir team for U26. I'm playing with Sam Amer and teammates Arjun Dhir and Will Zhu. This should be a very good event. A lot of capable teams are in the U26 field, with only two teams getting the chance to move on and represent the US in Italy this summer for the world championships.

I speak for everyone in the Junior contingent when I thank Michael and Debbie Rosenberg, Barry Goren, and the countless other mentors who have made the USBF program amazing. Junior Bridge has flourished in recent years, mostly because of their efforts. We all look forward to the next few days and will have a great time, regardless of final result.

I'm about to have zero tolerance for how cold it's going to be cold. As a Floridian, I'm pretty sure I'll be dead after the first day.

The high is 37? As a Floridian, I'm so screwed. Good thing this is indoors.

As a student, I could pretty much go any weekend if I wasn't that busy. Thanksgiving is tough because my family always wants me to spend time with them, though, so to have to leave them behind for Bridge (which none of them play) is difficult. I was fortunate they said I could do it this year, the first time I get to go to a Fall NABC.

And as a student, I use those all the time. Maybe I wouldn't be a horrible writer if Karen was my teacher.

The fact that the Fall NABC starts on Thanksgiving has never made sense to me. Thanksgiving is supposed to be a holiday celebrated with family and not all family members play Bridge. As a student, I have had the opportunity to go to every Fall NABC since I have Thanksgiving week (or at least Wednesday-Sunday of that week) off from school. However, I'm only going for the first time this year and that was after my parents reluctantly let me skip Thanksgiving with them to go (we are having a Thanksgiving a day earlier, but it's obviously not the same).

It's just a bad time of year because it's the beginning of the holiday season. Even one or two weeks before would be fine, but not over Thanksgiving.

But if you're not in it for the karma, then what are you even in it for?

I'm sure there are cheaters in Antarctica. No way those guys can play a clean game in those conditions.

Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, and John Goodman? I know they've each individually done serious roles before, but this movie won't last 10 minutes before it becomes a barrage of adult humor. Which is my favorite movie genre, so I am all in on this. Too bad the plot won't get its full recognition.

You know Team LeBron was destined for 2nd when they chose that name. Should have gone with Team MJ!
