Very interesting use of double here. How does it exactly work if opps jump to three in a minor? Does this change much, as you have (slightly) more space?

But is that allowed? And won't you point out to the opponents a problem that they might have missed before?

Per Ola. I have absolutely no problem in trusting you in this matter. But my point is that BZ and other accused pairs (or their lawyers) might state otherwise.

With all respect to P.O Cullin, as he is the one who broke the FS code, I don't think he can be drawn for the FS case, and I can imagine that if he is in the expert panel for the other cases, the defense also might accuse him of being biased as well.

Funny: both pairs in the open room of the BB Final weren't supposed to play the BB at like 2 months ago….

“The poland situation has little to do with the ebl president as it was a decision by the wbf credentials committee ”….

But the chairman of the committee and the president of the ebl are both the same person…. So I think there is some involvement….

The Dutch bridge federation still states on its website that the invitation to bz was withdrawn due to clues regarding cheating by bz sent to the wbf by several experts… So I really wonder what is going on as the Dutch bridge federation has this info and pbu has not….

Quote

But to my knowledge the dis-invitees don't know the reason that their invitation has been withdrawn…. At least they should know imo….

The credibility of the credentials committee seems very low to me if they can withdraw invitations without giving any reason for that….

On the site of the Dutch Bridge federation the following is stated:

De Word Bridge Federation (WBF) heeft bekend gemaakt dat de Polen Cezary Balicki en Adam Zmudzinski niet worden toegelaten tot het WK in Chennai. Gisteren hebben internationale bridge-experts aanwijzingen omtrent vals spel van deze spelers naar de WBF gestuurd.

Rough translation: “The WBF has announced that BZ are not allowed to play the BB in Chennai. Yesterday international bridge experts have sent clues regarding cheating of these players to the WBF”.

Agree. However, the could have hired experts to do the job, if they really wanted to handle the problem seriously. They fact that they didn't shows that they didn't take their job to catch thieves seriously enough.

Steve, although i do have respect for Alex to step forward, i don think that it the pair to decide for how long they are not allowed to play. In my opinion that's up to their ncbo, the ebl and the wbf. 2 years might not be enough or might be too much.
