Why is it so hard to understand that there are only two paths:
- Poland are not allowed to play. End of story.
- Poland are allowed to play, therefore they should fight under the same conditions as the other contenders.
Israel, Germany and “Monaco” decided to withdraw. Good.
Poland chose to stay and won. Well done

Get a grip, Per Ove. You're drooling all over the place.
Are you to decide what is right and what is not? I think not…

Surely this statement is a piece of crap.
However, BW has more than its share of mini-Torquemadas..

One's entitled to live in one's own reality…
I like Vladimir Kramnik so in mine, he's still World Chess Champion. I like German football, so they are World Champions here. What? In yours too? How amazing! Oh and Portman is a great actress…
Nah just kidding

So you let the guys play, they happen to win and then you say “Too bad buddies (budskies?), try again”?
Come on…
Should common sense and humanity not prevail over “law-happiness”? Making mistakes is part of everyday life.

Poland were allowed to play. Whether it was the right decision is completely irrelevant now. Stripping them of their title if Balicki-Zmudzinski are found guilty is absolutely unthinkable.

It's not nearly as funny, of course.
Laughing about stereotypes and prejudices is one of the best way to exorcise and fight them. I've never met a Belgian hating the French for our infamous “Belgian stories”. They Just laugh with us and share their “French stories”.

Sweden took a serious beating in the first two sets of the day. They somehow managed to stay vaguely afloat thanks to a lucky 3NT, but time is running out. Klukowski would make history becoming the first teenager BB winner. After ten years of bridge !

And what was the outcome of Kasparov's and Short's selfish behaviour?
Iljumzhinov,Tsar of FIDE since 1994, with a brief interruption in 1997, when aliens from Alpha Centauri abducted him.Alas, for some reason, they eventually saw fit to release him.

According to the official site, the US East led the JACK of clubs. If the jack is a singleton, then East cannot establish a link with his partner.
Could this piece of deceitful data have put North off track?

P.S Maybe they play Roman leads (just thought about it)

Gawrys (East) doubled a 3C bid from North “en passant”, so the Swedish declarer took the right view.
Dunno how the bidding went for Kalita-Nowosadski
