2NT is a FG wait bid… May be three cards in partner suit..
With an hand too strong for 1NT overcall and doubleton in partner's suit symply jump to 3NT…

I think that if You have a bidding accident and end in a slam at 2% You play for the 2% and not claim 1 down when You see the dummy…

Gabor: transfer responses open more possible sequence and You can use it as You like.. My preference is to use as distinction from balanced to unbalanced hand..
A point is if:

1 - 1 - 1 or
1 - 1 - 1

are forcing or not…
If You like play it as I descript above AND You think that the sequences are forcing You can include into also UNBALANCED strong hand (FG) with 4-card support and specializing the jump-bid…

I follow the hand on BBO but it is not yet in archive…
But I remembar well:
W: Axx. . . 9 . . . KQJ10xx . Axx
E: Qxxxxx . x . . . xx. . . . Qxxx
S: KJ9. . . K10xx . Axx . . . KJ9

you be the judge… The 10 means two trick, are 1-1 and declarer may be misguess

No remarks about East's bidding?
Why he don't bid 4 early? Some idea?

Gabor: 1 - 1 - 1 show balanced hand with 3-4 cards support;
1 - 1 - 1NT show balanced hand with 2 cards support;
1 - 1 - 2 show 3-4 card support with unbalanced minimum hand;
Similar on 1 = answer

Open 1 all balanced 15-17 hcp (also with longer ) and play transfer response… You have a lot of mechanism to solve Your problem…

After that LHO show stop in two not-Club-suit You can cash AK in the third suit and when LHO follow both You can freely cash AKQ in sure that somethink happens… ;)

More or less 20 year ago I open a possible 2-card 1 and over 1 from my partner 1 bid 1NT with 4=3=3=3 and 96xx in
After a bidding mixup I found myself as declarer in 3NT
K was led and partner put down 10-7 doubleton in dummy.
RHO overtake the lead with A and return J overtaked by LHO with the Q and return with last … two trick for me. The full layout:
……..T7
KQx…………AJ8x
……..96xx

I raise with A and reach:

9
x
x
x

-
-
-
AQxx

with play in dummy.
The second finesse is only for my (bad) table-feeling IF possible otherwise I put my change on split and squeeze.

I think that low from dummy at trick 2 is the better line single dummy
If East raise with K or we have the right guess we will reach:

-
x
x
x

-
-
-
AQx

If East play low and we have the wrong guess we will reach:

A9
x
x
x

x
-
-
AQxx

We need both red suit that split well or 3-3
If only a red suit split we cash the winner and eventually someone is squeezed
There is also option to finesse the 9 if both red suit split badly and our table-feeling said us that is the right thing to do.

First hand:
…Hearts were 5-0, and ALL of the other chances for 6NT came in.

I have difficult to understand how ©, (d) and (e) was ALL on!

I think that to know what means “Pass” over 5 (forcing I think) and which were the means of the alternatives (Dbl, 5) play a role in the decision
