Yes - my main interest with this question is whether or not people would treat KQ as good enough. The other questions are also interesting - I think the lack of good rebid means 1H wouldn't be great and I don't play flannery.

Unassuming Cue Bid -
At one time direct raises of an overcall (e.g. 3, 4 here) were limit bids. Using UCB, by cue-bidding the opener's suit, you can show a hand that would have made a limit bid (or better). This allows the raises directly in the suit to be more pre-emptive.

So in this example 2 showed a good raise in clubs, or better.

This depends on your bidding style. I play 1 here as forcing so I'm happy to bid that. If not it's tricky. Perhaps some sort of exclusion keycard bid as Richard suggested?
