What does criminal record have to do with representing a country in WC as part of national team? Same for religion, or any other reason. This is not tourist visa, he is not going there to see Great Wall or try Pecking Duck. I think it is not right, as simple as this.

Similar situations have been suffered by others, not able to go to the US or Indonesia for visa problems. This is not a first time thing or even a China thing.

In this case I don't think that neither of these (US, Indonesia, China) should be appointed as hosts in future. Sport is sport and it is not upto hosts to decide who can participate in WC.

It seems (from videos) that Fantoni gets more help from Nunes that other way round - I have not seen Fantoni helping Nunes when declaring, but I might be wrong.

Your view is not my view. He said that he knows how they do it. Once you know - not that difficult to prove.

Tell authorities what you know and let them prove it. How about that?

'I know pretty well which players play dirty and mostly how they do it. Nevertheless, I was never ready to call these names in public. ‘

Knowing who cheats and not disclosing it is IMO as bad as cheating by yourself.
I don’t understand how do you want to be forgiven and given second chance while apart from being guilty you are covering other cheats? Or perhaps you just don't care.

AFAIK team that won silver has not cheated, and it probably matters to them if you associate them with PS, that's all I mean.

Smirnov - Piekarek - it looks like bronze, not silver.

Good idea to check before you post.

The statutory limitations mentioned here were introduced by the previous PBU Board/President. The new Board and President are working on new disciplinary rules, in which this period will be considerably extended, I think we are talking about 20 years. Lex retro non agit - so not much can be done now, but AFAIK, new rules have been also introduced - the organizer may refuse the right to participate (with permission of the PBU Board) to any competitor without giving a reason, so I think it will help here.

As I said in the other thread (my comment seems to have disappeared, probably because it supported Artur's opinion), RW popularity among certain nation, that you have in mind, is well overestimated, most of them had no idea who he was, what opinions he had etc. Do you really think that ‘targeting RW’ was the main objective of certain nation players?

I actually do think this post is highly offensive, especially for all of us - Polish players.
I also think that you are obsessed about being cheated or fouled, and a very unpleasant opponent.

I agree with Artur 100%, but not only sexist accusation is utter nonsense, so is the other one - that they (SA-RW) ‘were under special scrutiny’ because of RW ‘public criticism of the Polish Bridge Federation’s decision not to withdraw from the Bermuda Bowl last year’. In fact PBF was (and still is) widely criticised for it's actions (or lack of it to be exact) among Polish players.
I also think that RW ‘popularity’ in Poland is being overestimated, I'm pretty sure most of his Polish opponents in Wroclaw didn't have a clue who he was, or simply didn't care about his opinions, there are more interesting things in life.
