I tried that with *my* article but was told that it's BW's policy not to have a featured article that has been posted elsewhere. And I had posted it on my Facebook timeline a few hours before.

Please note that as of tomorrow (Tuesday) all starting times have been moved back one hour. The BBO schedule page has been updated to show correct times in YOUR time zone.

As for voice I'm probably not the only one who thinks that it's pretty bad. I had to give up at some point Sunday as well as Monday. It seems to be best in the middle of the night European time (match 1) when we have fewer users online and fewer tournaments in progress. All we can do is hope that it will improve.

In my view they released the new version a month too early. It's the wrong time to test voice during the most important bridge event in the calendar.

Another issue is the operators. Most of them are inexperienced and make loads of errors. I was watching Israel v Italy in the open room in the early round Monday and that was a disaster. It only proves the fact that big (24 tables) is not necessarily the same as great.

Well, the BBO schedule is not enritely accurate. The last match of the day will start 20 minutes later than advised, at half past the hour.

Felix Chen, I gave Emmanuel Corynen the correct answer, did I not? Whether or not you like it, I reserve the right to use ‘currently’ in September as well as any other month.

The point Frances Hinden makes is valid because many think that GMT is the same as UK time. The United Kingdom is not on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) all year. During Daylight Saving Time (DST) the correct time zone is British Summer Time (BST).

Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is often interchanged or confused with Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), but GMT is a time *zone* and UTC is a time *standard*. Read more about it here:

David, Traian tells me that there will only be video coverage of 16 tables. If this is true, I don't understand why the organisers have added 16 (tables). Big is not always the same as great.

However, maybe Traian will be pleasantly surprised when he arrives in Wuhan, so it's premature to judge. We shall have to wait and see what happens.

Yes, poor Traian Chrira, arriving Friday in Wuhan. Al, I just sent you an email about his concerns.

China is currently on GMT+8. This schedule is presented in your local time zone so that no conversion is needed for anyone:

Debbie, maybe you want to talk with Jan Nielsen. He is able to send me PM's on Facebook. I think he knows a (legitimate) trick or two.

By the way, I'm not even going to try to find commentators for 32 tables three times a day. I'll be focusing on getting enough for voice at one or two tables.

And good luck to your three Danish teams in Wuhan. Hils dem alle og fortæl dem, at vi hepper på dem :)

Richard, I appreciate your point, but I'm pretty sure that both you and I would be feeling sick if it lost to the stiff 10.

It might have been a mental lapse, but it takes nothing away from Kiljan's play. He is 23 years old.

I'm sure Brad can confirm that Fred was/is a dream partner. Never a harsh word. On the contrary, he would go out of his way to take the blame even if it was obvious that it was his partner who had made a defensive error.

“I could and should have made it easier for you,” was not an unusual comment – and many more to that effect.

You can't think of a nicer person, at and away from the bridge table. I'm confident that BBO will continue to prosper, but no matter what this will remain Fred's child.

Sam, it's true that Lauria and Versace were hired by Zimmermann two years ago and applied for residency in Monaco, but you have missed that they changed their minds. Coincidentally, this short article is from 1 April this year, but it's not a joke.
