I'm guessing that the invitation hits them when they sign on: Reserved seats.

0/3 1 2 2 or 0/3 1 2 with an ask after each

Yes. That kind of XiV19 “outbreak” tracing is important analytically, and it should lead to the kind of I/O model that will be critical to getting an economy staggering to its feet again. At this point, especially in ‘hot spot’ areas, testing seems more useful to triage cases and assign treatment. Virtually everyone in our usually socially dynamic town (U. of Colorado) is hunkered down and walking our dogs much more than they are accustomed to do.

Sometimes I think I like reading about advanced bridge more than I do playing it. Will probably go on the same shelf with Robson-Segal, Hughes and a couple others. Thank you.

This obviously is a division of styles and outlooks: Compete against SNTs when we have an equal hand over the opp's and partner has a suit or pass and defend. Meh. I've played both ways. In many situations we win by getting in. You pays yur money.

Either is more logical and communicative in structure than the 1990s style relay ask/tell system I've been trying to learn. The key is that responder is provided HCP buckets, opener is allowed several specific sequences to show very big hands and there is actually some shape information exchanged. Playing the relays, opener never really know responder's ceiling and responder never really knows opener's floor. Just add those points, boys. Sheesh.

The really good aspect of this learning process is that I've purchased 4 or 5 modern Precision system descriptions and outlines for comparison, so I've been able to form conclusions re: what seems to make bridge sense and what doesn't. Both of those books are excellent.

End rant. Thanks for the opportunity.

IIRC, some 65% of all F1 openers are SNTs; plz fact check that. Why wouldn't you want to play offense with the openr in the slot?

We play Suction over 1/2 NT as well. Over 1F, modified so that DBL= SNT+, advancer expected to bid 1 should responder pass, so 1N = pointed or rounded.

OK. Syntax. (Doesn't much matter, but I like to use the “/” to say “back to you, partner” in an uncontested auction.)

I would dearly love to be told. I suspect this is In Development.

Isn't that what I said? I thought that was what I said…Wasn't that what I said?

And after the relay to 2N in 2C-2D/2S-2N, opener describes one-suited S or S & X. We trackin'?

Who directs? Web boarding possible? Limit to people who usually play in “this” club? Lots of parameters.

This discussion seems to ignore 2C-2D/2H-2S/2N as possibly 5S-3-3-2. Which I thought was standard Kokish. Why?

So if we are playing a Precision variant, they will think we are playing 2/1?

And thanks very much.

If one wishes to practice in comp, how does it happen? That option isn't available in Practice/Bidding Table. I'm a BBO ignoramus; plz be step by sep.

and the difference b/t, say, “treat bacterial pneumonia” and treat some covid condition. Pretty sure that, for most, “max extent” and “quarantine” are virtually synonymous unless fortunate enough to be able to set up a whole bunch of inservices to keep yourself viable.

Logjam. Coffee house phenomenon: I'm gonna get a table and a connection and take up this space for four hours.
