Barry, you won't like anything that's proposed, ever, so best just keep your mouth shut.

If they helped, I would walk around with an IV drip of them in my arm if they could. I'd mix them with LSD to really make things interesting. I'd snort them off a strippers ass if that proved the most efficacious.
Although if they subsequently got banned, I'd not take them.
If.

I was talking about Mr. Corn's assertion that I do not know Burns' Three Laws, when I have them tattooed on the underside of my feet.

They're magnificent in their simplicity.

#1 always pick a trump suit where you have more than the opponents. It's why I try very hard not to pass partner in what may be a 5-1 fit.

#2 Figure out how many aces you are missing, subtract that from 7, and don't bid above that level.

Morganton NC has had great sectionals for many years. And in the town's convention center, which is a pretty good place for bridge. Except one Saturday night the bridge game started, followed shortly after by the professional rasslin' on the floor above…

(it actually wasn't that bad, only very brief bursts of loud noise, more amusing than horrific…)

They did away with player committees, and now have director committees. So instead of there being controversy over a close decision, there is controversy over a close decision.

It's easy to state what cards you're going to play. *And* it's easy to see when someone will merely do the obvious. *and* it's a floor wax *and* it's a dessert topping!

Mike's not in by his own request. Expect him to be inducted as soon as he can't object.

They aren't announcing that at all. They're saying what he was found guilty of by the WBF isn't breaking any ACBL rule at all.

Russ, what's this rumor I hear about the BOD making it mandatory for people to play canape strong club systems with really goofy three level openings?

Double is strong club, suit bids natural, NT=any two suiter. No one will know what you have, and if you close your eyes, you won't either, which makes it wonderful.

It was in Jeff's book. But he forgot to mention that 3 overcalls are also effective against standard openings too.

Mr Fleet, country music has a longstanding tradition of songs where anything and everything bad happens to the narrator; he just can't catch a break from life.
While you could certainly catch a bad dummy, I don't think the hand warrants such pessimism.
No insult intended.

Who are you to use facts, logic, and reason?!!?!?! Don't you know bridge is dying imminently? John Blubaugh has been saying so for 30 years now. He'll be right any day now.
