Why doesn't everyone who desires a relaxed, more social game play in the ABA? Although I haven't played with them, they are famous for the warm spirit of competition and sociability.

I agree that it would be terrific to hear about the hands and the learning that resulted. This relates to Peg's Playing Up article. Even very good players like Kevin benefit from playing against the best competition available.

Try running the audio through Audacity. A little filtering and a lot of compression might make the dialog audible. Just a thought.

Bravo! Thanks Gavin for a terrific series. This is the kind of discussion that insiders get in the bar or in someone's hotel room after the game that the rest of us miss out on. It really shows the power of the Internet for education.

The entire idea of bridge as an “Olympic sport” is absurd. Putting on uniforms doesn't make bridge players athletes.
