I think 3 showing 4 would agree hearts temporarily and now that we know he is 1444/0454 I can role out 4 as RKCB for hearts (that King of hearts could be useful)

I would be bidding but not 3NT, I have two suits which are Axx and if partner has a bad doubleton in one then we are probably not going to make 3NT.

So I am bidding 3 as a Vacant Doubleton ask :)

partner has shown values and the easiest bid for me to now get my hand off my chest is 5 as voidwood. The problem with 3 is with a normal partner they will now cue 4 and you will be stuck in exactly the same position except partner might not take 5 as voidwood

It also depends slightly on what you play 2/2 as over 1NT rebid

Some people do play that after a 2/1 GF they are just shaping out and not showing extras Steve. In Acol its different as your not in a fully forcing auction. I personally prefer the 16+ extras method as slam bidding becomes easier :)

You need to live a little Steve. If you don't bid then how can you declare :)

no quite the opposite in fact ;) Here it is obviously 10-a bad 11 as the player in question (me) opens most 11 counts.

When you say 2 is weak I presume in fourth it becomes intermediate i.e 10-13/14/15?

What is the range of your NT and the min length of your minor? #Moreworriediftheybid5

I would have Xed 1. My partner and I have an agreement over 1-1M-3 (probably applies after 1D-(1M)-x-3D) that 3 is a club stop and 3 is rebiddable M/OM stop so with him I could bid 3.

I personally prefer the style of that reversing still shows extras after a 2/1 so I would bid 2 here which is 5+

Yes I would like to know what double should be here?
I have a blanket agreement with partner that X in the pass out seat is almost always T/O but here could possibly be a Trap pass.
I bid 2 more to make partners life easier than actually wanting to do it. Also gives lead direction in defence to a likely 2M contract

Would have started with 2 (Diamonds and a major) or 2 (Spades and a minor) depending on system.

With my regular partners I play constructive Michaels 10+ which shows the highest unbid major and another. So could bid 2 here which gets the hand across nicely.
