yes, don't know why this is such a minority treatment. It is beyond me why you would want to transfer to a minor at the 3 level, skipping a possible 4-4 major fit, esp at matchpoints.
Along the same lines, i hate “crawling stayman”: with (54)in the majors, I have to transfer to the 5 card suit…

Handling vulnerability is just another area the expert has an advantage over the average player. I seriously doubt that most club players pay attention to it at all, except to say "oh ####, we were vul, that's -200…In fact, the game of bridge would probably be simpler and more popular if you eliminated vulnerability altogether.

Too strong for 2D. yesterday on BBO I opened:S-.H-2.D-KT9832.C-A87543 2D, then raised partner's 5D to 6D which was cold…

I was East on this hand at a different table and partner opened 1C(16+ART) which got X'd by your hand…I had what I thought was an interesting bidding problem on the 2nd round..maybe I will do a poll on it!

with partner having the hand that argues for passing: the opponents may well make 5C, so playing in 5H may not be bad.
