David,

I'm sure you noticed there were fewer teams this year than last year when it was cancelled for lack of attendance.

If you followed the 2015 CWTC situation, you know for the CBF a CoC is just a suggestion :-)

Here's what happened Gary.

On Monday afternoon my girlfriend Cheryl and I were watching the vugraph. We both couldn't figure out how 2 made but we just assumed the vugraph was wrong.

On Friday I spoke to Hazel Wolpert and we discussed a couple of the boards but I had completely forgotten about board 14 and 2. That evening Cheryl asked if I'd found out how the contract was made and I told her I was seeing Hazel the next day and I'd ask.

Hazel didn't remember the board in question so we looked at it on BBO and she realized the play was correct, the claim was wrong. That was something neither Cheryl or I had ever considered. If I had thought so, I probably wouldn't have brought it up at all.

My friends had just lost a 120 board match by 1 IMP, I wasn't going to ask why they pitched 4 IMPs by accepting a bad claim. The whole thing started by accident. After that I had no connection to anything.

To Ina, Katie, Joan, Karen, Pamela, Brenda, Sylvia, Barbara and especially Hazel, Linda and Sondra, sorry to have caused all this trouble.

This was a CBF event, not an ACBL event.

Four hours after the event ended there's still no results at all for Sunday's play at the CBC website.

L'Ecuyer (Nick L'Ecuyer, Zygmunt Marcinski, Nick and Judy Gartaganis, Kamel Fergani, Fred Pollack) won the Open Teams.

Carruthers (John Carruthers, Joey Silver, George Mittleman, Robert Lebi, Pierre Daigneault, Boris Baran) won the Seniors

Scheduling brought to you by the same people who cancelled last years Women's Trials.

I knew it was your idea, I just thought he had the first chance to use. It works great, but only once :-)

When you played with John Gowdy in Salsomaggiore, did you really alert John's double of 4NT and explain it as “We don't think you know what your responses mean after the double?”

Congratulations on your success and best of luck in the future.

I know BBO enforces ACBL suspensions for their ACBL tournaments but that has no affect on non-ACBL games. I would assume they'd do the same for any EBL sanctioned events they may have.

The players were required to call the director at the time of the irregularity. If they decided not to and to make their own ruling, I'd let them keep the result they got.
