Ethical conundrum
I am guessing 3NT, 5, and 4 are all not making and opening 1 would have led to game going down. If so, I think the biggest problem problem on this hand is that the initial pass reeks of a wire.

In fairness to that partner, I have said many times, always show me when you have four card support for my suit. I was actually quite happy to see the dummy. Some bad results are worth it. :-)
