Very nice article Steve. Thanks for being so thorough. I know most pedestrian bidders avoid overcalling 1NT with a 5 card Major OR if holding only 1 stopper in the opened suit especially if that stopper is Qxx.

weirdest Conventions and Treatments
CHECKBACK BLACKWOOD is 4N after partner's response to Gerber. It asks partner to check their hand to be sure they gave the correct response. I was actually playing against a pair who played this & bid it at the table where I was sitting!
