Bidding problem What is your guess?
I certainly consdired 2C but under the best of circumstances I could not see how the bidding would proceed in an informative way. 2C-2D-3D-end plays partner on so many layouts. What is he supposed to do with xxxx,xx,x,xxxxx?
Bidding problem What is your guess?
Good points but perhaps not entirely "obvious". Worth a discussion with partner.
Bidding problem What is your guess?
I agree with both comments.
Arthur Wasserman's bidding problem: JTxxx AKx --- KQTxx
so you prefer...?
opener's rebid over partner's redouble
I am with Sreve on this one; I prefer to play in D rather than S or H.
opener's rebid over partner's redouble
What would give as an example of a 2D or 3D bid?
opener's rebid over partner's redouble
How about xxx, AJT, KQT9xxx, ––? Is that a 2D or 3D bid? How solid must the D be? I think partner will be in the dark holding Axxx, Kxx, x, AKxxx. Both 3N and 5D might be right.
Arthur Wasserman's bidding problem: KQxx Ax Kxxx Jxx
Sorry to not be specific about the responses. The 2NT was Jacoby (13 +points); the response showed a singleton which was obligatory unless partner held a good 5 card suit which he could bid at the 4 level. I was wondering about whether people felt the hand was strong enough ...
Arthur Wasserman's bidding problem: Jxxxxx Q Axxx AK
I repeat: I am not sure what the alternative continuations were; I gave the opponents bidding and explanation.
Arthur Wasserman's bidding problem: KQxx Ax Kxxx Jxx
I like that rule and will adopt it. Thanks.
