about me

I play mostly online - after various "incidents" I added the following to my profile:

"Lousy bridge player? No problem. Criticism? Fine.

Combination of the above? Not acceptable."

I can recommend it to anyone - it works.

Jeff Ford's bidding problem: Tx AQ9xx QJTxxx ---
I double - takeout :)
Adam Gann's bidding problem: Q6 AT98743 84 J9
Agree to the theory, but I don't see a mild slam try here.
Ryan Stephenson's bidding problem: A73 Q 964 AJT964
That's what I thought - for me 1NT is automatic. But that may be caused by my usual subminimal opening strength...
Responder's rebid of 3m in the auction 1N - 2D/H (transfer); 2H/S - 3D or 3C; ???

Humorous Bridge Happenings You’ve Experienced
The nice thing about this thread is that also non-expert players have lots of stories to share. Playing teams competition in Amsterdam (second-lowest level), green vs. red, my partner opens 2, weak with 5 spades and a minor. RHO doubles and looking at Qxxxx in spades and some garbage ...
Humorous Bridge Happenings You’ve Experienced
OK, Mark wasn't quite as bad but he had his behavioural problems, which he was fully aware of. He used to proudly introduce us as "Hi, this is Bas. He can't hear very well" (I wear hearing aids) "... and I am Mark. I can't listen very well ...
Todd Holes's bidding problem: T2 K4 A87643 KJ2
So combined with Eric's first hand (also shown as a problem hand itself by Bob Okker), we learn that we should have reached 4 instead of 3NT, due to an unfortunate distribution. Next hand please.
Monaco Withdraws From Bermuda Bowl
Think of this for a little more than 2 seconds - jaw-dropping.
