An open letter to Marc Smith...regarding "Enterprising Tales"
Marc has sent me a copy of Enterprising Tales. It is back in publication and was due out in the spring of 2018 in both print and digital formats. If it is not out already, it should be soon. The price listed on the book is $19.95. I don ...
Where did East-West go so far wrong on this hand?
I open 1. I raise to 2. Knowing this is our style, 4 is a stretch. Having lost the 1st three tricks and still having to lose the A, it's slightly better (imo) to rise with A in an attempt to limit my losses (the ...
Ray Fink's bidding problem: K542 K7 985432 K
I happen to have a top caliber partner who swears this kind of hand is the perfect first seat weak two. I, on the other hand, swear that he is nuts.

The Best Bridge Writer
It is due to be re-released in e-book format eventually. Or so Marc told me a few months ago.

Nobody even mentions Marc Smith? Enterprising Tales ranks right up there with one of entertaining books of all time for me. Of course, it helps if you also liked Star Trek. :)
Is it better to double or bid 1H?
Actually... Partner is a passed hand here, So making a "prepared" bid doesn't factor into the equation. Partner should bid his lowest 4 card major, or 5 card if he has one.
