I first wanted to see what the consensus was on this situation, knowing that many have special bids, but some do not. With a couple of parters, we the 2N as a competitive action allowing some action by responder that does not promise the world.

2N does not exist as an option once 3♦ was bid.

Irrespective of fancy agreements, my poll was designed to see how others treated a response in a new suit (not an invisible cue bid, for ex) following a Michaels bid. No doubt there are some better methods....just interested in what promises such a call makes.

It was a 'flighted' game, for Flight A and X players...A=5000+; X=0-5000 ..there were B, C and a 99er game also ongoing from the same unit game. In other words, the field was strong.
