Being written up in the NY Times all the way back in 1994 for my declarer play. Also beating a team of world champions when I'd been playing tournaments for six months.

I had the privilege of playing a full KO match against Juanita when I was in bridge diapers over 20 years ago. She was as generous with bridge advice as she was fun at the table. RIP.
Indeed! There were several recent (within the last 5 years) members of the US junior and youth teams making it to the last day, including Oren, the Grossacks, Anam Tebha, and (I have to mention him because he's my partner) Mitch Towner.
Sorry to see how this thread got hijacked, but I think Team Kickstarter is a great idea and would happily contribute. It'd be a real shame if this team didn't represent the US this year.
