about me

I often work in cellular sales/customer service I love bridge and crosswords (french, nyt and cryptics) . I'm a bidding systems expert/geek I've been a pro player and director on/off for many years, but I now mostly play for enjoyment of this very frustrating passion. I'm a recovering alcoholic for 10+ years and will help anyone I can in that department

1NT with a Worthless Singleton
I have opened 1NT as a worthless simpleton
Alerting in USA?
I ve always alerted the raise and most experts I know also do when it can be unbalanced or strong NT. PPL usually don t expect a minimm rais to be a strong hand, hence the alert.
Post 9 Dr. Paul Stern. Tuesday, 12th September 2017.
Funnily there is a Paul Stern playing high table bridge right now...

The dreaded 5-Level (again)
Two five level raises cost me a regional win today. Enough said.
May you bid after partner's hesitation
The answer to the original question is yes... Wheter this hand qualifies is different. I d bid 3 ( I d have bid 2 last time and Xed now with a real pard)
May you bid after partner's hesitation
I disagree Frances. Money makes a difference. If doing something different may cost you the client, then it is a loss of income. Obviously the less you need the income, the more independant you can be. I would not be unethical per se, but I would always make the 'client ...
4-3-2-4
I also bid 3 on xxx but that s not a very frequent agreement
Debbie Rosenberg's bidding problem: KT8 9653 A43 AQ4
This is an honesty question. As a problem I pass, irl I double or at least I would love my partner to double (don't hold your breath)
