What bid would you make if you where behind screens and you didn’t hear or know anything partner alerted and explained? That’s the bid you should make.

my comments were based on the article it indicates "CC says 2♣ shows majors." it does not say if declarer asked to see the CC or if the CC was available.

Thats the thing, he didn't remember his defence, lead what he thought his agreement was giving up the ninth trick....., declarer is in a 3N contract without a heart stopper and he has nine tricks, but decides to go for overtricks IMHO based on a double shot, especially if ...

Regardless of the fact that overtricks matter, there are now at least 9 tricks. AS declarer you can see that you are off probably off five tricks in hearts... so you get information from opposition and you see on the card it disagrees with his explanation....hmmm.... seems like getting ...

I had a similar hand like this were LHO hesitates a good minute before doubling. He had an ace and 5 spades to the KTxxx. He said he was thinking of bidding 5 H with a stiff heart.

It is a 2 part question...at our table after I bid 3d lho passed the 16 count and rho passed, which I thought would be normal.... I kinda wish these, what would you bid, showed the entire hand after.
