Paul Sontag's bidding problem: A7 AQ97 A987 952
Yes he is but is there not a danger that opener will raise himself to 3C blowing us out of the auction?
Superstitions?
Dummy commenting while tabling dummy.
Bridge Winners is Depressing
Even harder to believe he led the diamond 4 when south has it!
Given the double dummy analysis
Ruff. Two rounds of trumps. Low heart off dummy. Seems like diamonds have to be 5-0 or an overtrick would be easy. Another hint that the diamonds are foul is that only 10 tricks can be taken in a diamond contract.
Masterpoints per minute and per dollar
Fortunately Masterpoints are worthless so this inequality can be tolerated.
Strong players who learned bridge later in life?
Martin Hoffman.
Another article on the cheating business, in Vanity Fair
The New Yorker piece implies that the Dallas Aces won the '70,'71 Bermuda Bowls despite the presence of the tainted Blue Team.
