Ryan Daniels's bidding problem: K9xx AK KJ9 KQ9x
I opted for 1S, and partner raised me to 2S. We had an 8-card fit there, but AQJx of spades sat behind us as did the AQ of diamonds. Losing the AC also meant we were down 1 for -100. 1NT might have been passed out, but that's likely ...
District 13 GNT - Flight B
Thank you. That was my intention.
Kyle Rockoff's bidding problem: 953 QJ2 AQ52 AK9
I know it's 16 HCP, but there are no tens and only 1 nine, and your shape is 4-3-3-3. I'm downgrading it to a 15 point hand which means we have at most 32 points. I know we're vul at IMPs, but I'm just bidding 3NT ...
Kyle Rockoff's bidding problem: A62 AQT65 J3 AT8
I'm bidding 2H, but with the vulnerability and the fact that this question is being asked, I'm guessing it works out poorly. It's risky, but I think you have to bid this suit to make sure partner leads it and to disrupt their bidding.
Ryan Daniels's bidding problem: JTx AKQ Kx AKQJT
I bid 3S, hoping it was asking for half-stopper. I also hoped the opponents might think I have spades and not lead them. Partner then bid 4S (oops), so I corrected to 5D, which he thankfully passed. We made 7 when they didn't lead spades. I think my LHO ...
Kyle Rockoff's bidding problem: QJ76 97 AKQ83 J3
Not loving partner's double. I can't imagine his hand where the double is penalty, but it's hard to imagine a hand where it's "takeout" also.
Kyle Rockoff's bidding problem: AJ32 AKQ95 4 K73
I do like 2S as a help suit game try. Then if partner accepts, you can go to slam. If partner doesn't accept, I'll keep trying for slam with a 4C bid or a 5H bid I suppose.
Kyle Rockoff's bidding problem: xxx AQJ97 KQxx x
I'd bid 3H here. 3D would show 5-5, 3S would show half a spade stopper (Qx or Jxx), 3NT would show a spade stopper.
Kyle Rockoff's lead problem: 8x JT8x Jxx 9xxx
What lead worked?
Itzik Ezra's bidding problem: KQ93 J94 AQJ8 T8
I agree with the 2NT rebid. If I'm forced to rebid 2S here, I'm going to rebid 3NT as well since I have a half stopper in hearts. Heck, no one is bidding hearts, so maybe they're 4-4 even if they're not stopped.
