I am from the San Francisco area and have been playing bridge for about 40 years. I was born in Karachi, Pakistan but my heritage is from Mangalore, Karnataka in South India. I am an ACBL GLM and enjoy tournament bridge, particularly the NABCs.

Thanks for the ideas and suggestions. I will incorporate some of these in my teaching program for him. He reads way above his grade so the books and software suggestions were particularly valuable. I do have almost all the books mentioned above:)

Mike, this on the agenda but for next year. He lives in the Dallas area, and my plan is to teach him enough that he can feel comfortable playing f2f by next summer, when he will probably spend a summer month with us.

Mollo is known for the Menagerie books, but he also wrote Cardplay Technique ( with Nico Gardener ) and, my favorite, Streamline your Cardplay. I know my game improved so much after I worked through Streamline. I still have my well worn copy:)
