AARP Could Be Used to Promote Bridge

An email from AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) just landed in my inbox. I usually delete or recycle everything from AARP but this one got my attention.

The message talks about whether or not supplements help improve or preserve brain health as you age, but it also discusses "developing problem-solving skills, discovering new ways to help strengthen your brain, exercise your memory, and improve your focus." What does that bring to mind?

The message includes some kind of puzzle. Puzzles are great but the fact that the ACBL's marketing department isn't taking advantage of AARP's enormous member base and propaganda machine to present bridge as a way to accomplish those goals is beyond belief. I don't know what those marketing people are thinking, if anything, but they're certainly missing the boat on this one.
