After a Lightner double

Your partnership has agreed to play Lightner doubles of freely bid Slams.

A Lightner double (named for the late Teddy Lightner) asks for an unusual lead (usually vs a Slam.) Often it indicates you hold a void in your hand and can ruff something. Occasionally it is done with a holding like AK or AQ in dummy's suit... that is not without risk as declarer might be short in that suit.

I've seen a few disasters occur when the hand making such a double had previous made a lead directing call.

Does double in these auctions override the previous diamond lead direct or reinforce it?
