An inspiration from "size ask or clubs"

After a strong 1NT opening:

Many players use this 2 for "size ask or ", it brought me an inspiration that can we play 2NT as "5-5 minors(weak) or "?

When we hold a 5-5 minors weak hand, 3m may be better than 1NT. We used to show it with 3, but 3 is commonly used for Puppet Stayman now. So I think, since we can package the size ask in 2, can we package the 5-5m weak hand into 2NT?

3 = fit , or not fit any minors;

3 = fit , maybe fit  also.

[As Paul Hightower said, the statement that "not fit any minors" is incorrect, I mean the opener just treats 2NT as a diamond suit.]

I haven't seen anyone else use 2NT like this, and I don't know if it works. Could you please help me with some ideas?
