Any suggestions for "Person of record" ?

Every couple of years, our unit's domain name needs to be renewed. Also, every year (I think), we have to renew our corporation status.

As far as I can tell, both of these have to be done by an actual human being, with a physical address. But our board turns over and this stuff gets lost.

I'm thinking that we might establish a "person of record" position in the unit. This position would be a unit position, not a board position, similar to the recorder, ethics chair, and legal counsel positions. We'd choose someone who will be around for a good while.

What have other units done to handle this kind of need?
