Join Bridge Winners
Arrow Switches

Everywhere I have played have arrow-switched the last (or last two) rounds if a one-winner Mitchell movement is required.

However, I think it makes more sense to arrow-switch the first (or first two rounds):

a) if a session has to be curtailed then the unplayed boards are not from the arrow switch

b) players are more likely to have boards 'take off them' later in the session

c) you won't forget to do it!

I have created a 5 table hesitation Mitchell movement for EBUscore with an arrow switch on the first round for my beginner's class as we regularly run out of time (they are VERY slow). I'll put a PDF with table cards on my website if anyone wants it.
