6 is laydown unless they ruff a heart, 6 can be made unless they ruff a club.

E-W played precision. (17+ if balanced, 2N opening is not a strong balanced hand)

East might have passed 3 or could have bid 4 as slam try (ORKC).West might have showed even number of aces and a void with (a somewhat risky) step 5 (5) on response to RKC or might have overruled the signoff.

Double of 3 would have been penalty from both sides.

So, what went wrong? If multiple things then vote on the main reason. If equal, then choose that one.

East should have passed 3 (we were in GF)
East should have bid 4 slam try
West should have bid 4 instead of 4
West should have shown his void by bidding 5 on 4 (0/2/4 keycards and a void)
West should have bid on on 5.
Both East and West misbid, about equal blame.
Everything was more or less fine, the price of playing precision is that we can't forbid them from overcalling against our strong club.
