1 = 13-14 balanced or 17+ any

2NT = inviting to 3NT

4 = 17+, cue, undiscussed shape

Pass (on 6) = discouraging, a marionette to double

6x for +500 was a very bad score.

South:

"Why didn't you bid 7? What kind of hand can I have without the A? It is matchpoints. How did you expect we will score +1100?"

North:

"The max-range double is usually flexible, but I cannot double 3 with a void, so I thought I had implied my void, and let you decide. After all, you might have had spade values, or Hxxx in diamonds, when a ruff sets 7 directly. How should I know? You didn't double 7."

Who is the main culprit for the bottom score here?
