Come On ACBL/OnPeak, It's Just Not That Hard! (NABC Hotel Gripe)

Hotel reservations for the Montreal Summer NABC opened two days ago.  Today, I tried to make a reservation for the entire tournament, July 16-27.  Of the four tournament hotels close to the site, the Le Westin is almost sold out (fair enough), the Intercontinental has availability for all but three nights which are randomly dispersed throughout the tournament, and the Embassy Suites and Holiday Inn each have one unavailable night in the middle.

Guess where I'm headed now?  Hint: it rhymes with "FareBnB".  It just cannot be that hard for ACBL /OnPeak to avoid this scenario.  One simple solution would be to direct those who are attending for a short time into the hotels with the most surplus room nights over that period.  There are at least a few other possibilities.

In the past few years, it has been a production to book a full-tournament stay every time ACBL hosts a NABC in a popular destination.  I understand ACBL being indifferent to my aggravation, but I don't understand its indifference to the lost revenue.  I'm pretty confident that I'm not the only player who would use ACBL housing more often if only it were easier to do so.
