Analysis by Fred Ferguson

Bidding:
North with a pretty awesome hand of 18 high card points , 5 controls, 3 Quick Tricks and just 3 losers opens the bidding 1. With 18 hcp and just 3 losers, this hand could easily be opened 2 as strong and forcing, but it is somewhat reckless opening 2-suited hands 2 unless it is absolutely necessary for partner to keep the bidding open.

WOW and it almost happens that the bidding goes 1 - All Pass, but West keeps the bidding open balancing with 1. Now is the time for North to make a forcing bid with 2 as a cuebid, not a natural bid. With no other bid to make, South bids 4. Play:
East not wanting to lead away from an ace or lead a trump, East leads a club. Which ets up North's K and E/W have the right to win the A, the A and the A.
