An unsophisticated auction I admit.

Opponents are average club players.

The low diamond lead sets you a problem; you elect to run it to your hand and the J comes up so you take it.

if at any stage you play a trump I will tell you on the next page what happens.

If you want to try and ruff out the club king in two or three I'll tell you on page three what happens.

But maybe make up your mind on a general plan?

On the first trump West plays the Q and East the 2.

If you play the A and try to ruff a couple of clubs West follows 7, 9, J. East follows 4,6,8.

For the record (maybe it doesnt matter -- I just want to try to find a decent line)

West has 95/QJ/K106542/J97 so ruffing out spades after one trump may fail.

Those interested in double dummy lines might care to consider how to make the slam on a major-suit lead.
