K led and overtaken by East's stiff A.  2 switch taken by South's A.  Three rounds of from the top pitching two s with the 3rd round ruffed by West.  Q played by West and ruffed by South with East pitching a 10 to East's A and then East played the 8.

After a minute or so of thinking, South claimed one-off; indicating that she won't risk the hook (expecting it to be offside based on West's non-alerted 2 bid) in fear of going two-off.

Upon seeing the layout, South complained that had she been told 2 was artificial showing s, she would've hooked the .

East-West countered that at the point of the claim, West was known to hold 6s and at least 4 black cards so couldn't possibly have a suit.

No screens.  IMP-scored teams.  Competent players in the penultimate round-robin match in the qualifying phase for the State teams championships (6th vs 8th in a field of 19 teams with 5 teams qualifying for the next stage).
