Lots of IMPs flying

This was a hand from the English Premier League yesterday.  It was on Vugraph, so if you don't believe this really happened, you can look at the record.

I was South at table 2, so I think I can claim innocence from everything that was going on.

But that was IMPs in, because at Table 2:

North knew that West had thought for a long time over 5

West led a top diamond.

-1860

Various calls and plays you might not agree with.  I do think East has a hard call over 4, but bidding got both the E/W pairs into a forcing pass auction.

I think the trump lead at table 1 is definitely wrong (not that a diamond lead would have helped, of course)

I think the diamond lead a table 2 is arguably wrong but that one is harder

North's 6 bid at table 2 rather than double (would that be Lightner?) was wrong on paper, but hard to argue with success. The combined chance of the A onside and a diamond lead seemed to be enough to make it worth bidding on.
