Today's club game. I am sitting North, my wife is South. We are having a fair game. I am dealer, no one vulnerable. I hold AQ874 K93 A104 86.

I go up with the Q, winning, and play to the A dropping the singleton K. I pull one more round of trumps and cash my winners pitching a on a winner. I lose a trick to the top trump, making six. From experience, I know it's faster to take the tricks rather than claim.

I enter the score into the BridgeMate and hand it to my LHO. He okays the score and tells his partner "We got a goose egg."

RHO says "Nothing we could have done."

We come in first by 1 matchpoint.
