Possible dumping at 1958 Bermuda Bowl

I am summarizing material from the April, 1978 Bridge World (editorial, page 4).

There were teams from Argentina, Italy, and USA.  The conditions called for a round-robin, but if one team was way behind the others at a certain point, that team would drop out, with an additional 32 boards played between the leaders.  (after this year, "the rules were swiftly changed").  After Argentina had lost heavily to both teams so that this possibility might occur "Suddenly the Blue Team started to lose imps to Argentina"

In six clubs, diamonds were led and continued.  After ruffing in dummy, the Italian declarer  drew three rounds of trumps, cashed three top spades, then conceded down one.  "Somehow, the slam made in the other room."

It would be interesting to know whether this deal, and others like it, occurred before or after the confrontations with Tobias Stone.
