Sleeping on the couch, again

2H was a weak two bid.

I led the SA. We card upside down and Annie's ST was consistent with JT doubleton. I switched to the DK with the plan that if it held and Annie discouraged I would give her a spade ruff. Annie overtook the DK, cashed the CA and returned a diamond. 4H down 1 when we were cold for 6C. The following conversation took place:

Dave: That was spectacular.

Anne: I was afraid you could not read the D7.

Dave: You didn't give me a chance.

Anne: You are a moron.

Opponent: DIRECTOR PLEASE!
