The Man who Showed Too Much

Playing in a Gatlinburg Regional KO, I picked up the following hand in 4th seat, favorable.

The auction started with 2 passes but then 3rd seat opened 2, weak.  Bobby and I play Leaping Michaels over 2, where 4 would show clubs and a major, so I bid 4.  Bobby asked which major I held with 4.  I showed hearts and everyone passed.

The lead was a low diamond to the Q.  RHO then led the K, which I ruffed high.  I drew trumps in two rounds ending in dummy, and then led the J, RHO covering with the A.   Ruffing the A high led to the following position:

We've lost a diamond and must lose two clubs, and we need to avoid losing a third club.  The opponents have failed to find their club ruff, so can we make them pay for their mistake? Think about how you would continue before reading on.

While not guaranteed, I feel strongly that we should cash the A and finesse against the Q.  RHO has helpfully showed us that he opened 2 with AKQxxx.  With those diamonds and the Q, he might not have opened 2, although it is possible because he is in 3rd seat.  With a club honor, he almost certainly would have opened 1.  While this spade finesse looks risky, but without it, we need a miracle club layout like AK doubleton of clubs.  Also, if LHO has AK doubleton of clubs, his hand pattern is 6232 with the AK and he passed as dealer.  I suppose he might have that pattern with 6 small spades, but it seems like a defensive error is more likely.

Anyway, the J unsurprisingly wins.  We can now cash the K and throw a club, leaving us void in both spades and diamonds.  Now a club to the Q will result in an endplay even if  LHO started with the AK.
