very nice article Kit. I hope people appreciate, like me, the amount of time and effort you exhaust creating these lucid articles.

Thanks again.

i have to say, this is just gossipmongering and totally unwarranted and uncalled for.

A similar thread was removed by BW not so long ago - the fact that a subsequent article verified the question in that post was irrelevant.

This is how, and i gather, from what i have read, a lot of BW subscribers believe, unscrupulous rumours get spread.

IF there were\are apparent allegations, they will (of this I AM SURE :) ) and should be released with the same protocol that BW has done with the latter revelations.

Don't see why, in the embers of a forest-fire, we have to set bushes alight just because we want to get excited by watching the smoke.

There should be a new thread “The Articles Speak” where we all try to decipher the inherent code in Kit's Article titles :)

Lol, Phil.

I had noticed that too… I was in the throes of preparing an article to question the titles of his Kit Corner articles :)

You beat me to it :)

Harold Wilson's (UK ex priminister) most famous quote is

“A week is a long time in politics”.

If only he knew how long it were in bridge :)

Actually Peg I had you cast in the role Meryl Streep had in “The Bridgiste of Madison County”. Just so you got the opportunity of being snogged by Clint Eastwood :)

How about renaming it Nuntoni?

Just an idea.

Someone should check the IP on this article :)

I have overheard Multon speak English. The level of his written English doesn't seem to correspond to his spoken English.

But, if it is him, then the irony is quite dramatic. It is reminiscent of the writing on the wall King Belshazzar witnessed at his feast:-

“Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin.”

Seems a few Daniels have been called upon to decipher it :)

Please excuse the biblical reference… but the “writing on the wall” metaphor seemed so apt and as hard as i tried i couldnt let it pass :)

Hee Hee.

lol. This is what happens when Pandora's Box is jiggled, as it were.

Any rumour, whether true or not, in the current climate, is going to spread faster than a forest fire, the ground parched with the blazing heat of suspicion and scepticism.

The thing that really bothered those concerned with the re-burial of Richard III was that they had to pay £45,891 in late parking fees :)

In my opinion, I don't think that the IBF, realistically, had much choice in the matter, had they?

If the Israeli team were to go to Chennai - I assume without a certain pair - then the atmosphere of muffled rumours, unwarranted confrontations and back-chat would have made their own presence, without doubt, unbearable and uncomfortable, to say the least.

Despite this, I have a lot of sympathy for those members of the Israeli team who have had a “once-in-a-lifetime” (although i am sure they will make their presence felt in the forthcoming years) opportunity wrenched from them by the actions of others.

My only niggling, itching sensation is this: I cannot believe that the IBF, with most of its members, I am sure, having a steady finger on the pulse of international bridge bar-talk and sotto voce accusations, never saw this coming and had not taken preventative measures beforehand.

I don't know, maybe they did, but just chose to keep their heads buried in the sand.
