Louis, I fully agree with you however from times to times I am called an “as..le” or whatever on BBO, and guess what, sometimes I am :-). That was the point of the question above.

“Right. Now if B-Z are finded guilty - what to do with Polish medals? Take them away? They were won honestly.”

No, winning a medal starts at qualification stage, if there was cheaters at qualification stage, the medals are not won honestly.

“And if B-Z are finded non guilty - oh, boy…”
That will be a mess for sure…

“WBF decision was lose-lose.”
Yep and there is no way to step back…

“No particular agreement, but West found the spade switch. It was merely downhill from there”

Yep, however 7 then 2 of would show interest for the lead for me, therefore it seems understandable from W point of view to play a to the A in order to get a new back and capture the J.

Yes, I have that in my system notes in order to avoid any slow blackwood ruling afterwards. i.e., if the responder to the bwd shows 03 (resp. 14) KCs and the asker signs-off, the responder should bid 6 with 3 (resp. 4) KCs.

SEF is even stranger than that.
If played as it is written in the book, the limit hands with 3 cards in a major go through 2NT.
Hopefully, less and less people play that major fit structure.

1M - 2NT : limit 3 cards
1M - 3M : limit 4 cards

no need to laugh ;)

2 is not GF as 3 and 2NT by responder can be passed.

No agreement if 3 would have denied an honor.

“Franck, are you telling me that USA2 missed practice?”

did i say that ? I just pinpointed that your sentence stating that USA3 would be favored over any of the remaining European teams seems to be a huge overbid when USA2 only beat 2 of them (as well as USA1 BTW).

Remember ?

“Perhaps 50 teams is too many, but 2 is definitely too few when USA3 would be favored over any of the remaining European teams.”

http://bridgewinners.com/article/view/credential-committee-s-decision/?cj=239612#c239612

Reminder:

USA2 Denmark 4,81 15,19
USA2 France 6,25 13,75
USA2 Poland 5,4 14,6
USA2 Sweden 17,45 2,55
USA2 Bulgaria 9,39 10,61
USA2 England 12,8 7,2

well, 2 out of 6 is not a so bad score anyway….

“Could St Pierre and Miquelon make an argument for being in Zone 2? ”
It could but there are only 5.000 people there. However, if France could buy back Louisiana…
