And that was what you wanted to do Gil – avoid getting too high?
Yes.
Since we stop low in 1NT facing the 10-11 balanced hand (and by the way if it is 10 it looks like 11) we don't get too high there either, and unbalanced three trump in LR OUGHT to be at the three-level since you really can't treat them the same as balanced limits, can you?
Do not open 10-11 balanced.

My apologies to those who claim two-level responses not game forcing are ok. You are correct, my mistake.

1) and 2) have no answer.
.
3) I suppose you could pass the 2 puppet.

The 2♣ rebid does not deny 6+ spades and/or 4+ hearts

So anything less than a limit raise is a non-constructive direct raise?
Yes
So an 8 point hand with 3 cards is what?
a simple raise.
What are the lower limits on a 3 card limit raise in your approach?
There is NO upper and lower limits. A limit raise is a limit raise!

Prefer:
Double is negative with invitational or better values.

2 Hearts, 2 Spades, or 3 Clubs is natural with competitive values.

2NT is natural and invitational.

3 Diamonds or 3 Hearts is a transfer with game-forcing values.
