Games evolve, rules change. FIFA changed the back-pass rule and improved the game. Who's to say that bridge can't be improved ?
Maybe OP could have elaborated on his idea (which he appears quite capable of doing since he has written extensively about the game and is the inventor of the now imfamous Slawinski leads)
