Reverse it where each opponent has one card in a suit and one does not follow.

Dummy

Kxx
A
x
void

On spade to K one opponent follows and one “revokes”. Declarer claims I'll take the ace and you have the rest would you state that the revoke was not established and opponent can correct but declarer is still forced to play A and then small diamond because this is how opponents can get the rest.

So if I can enter a result and the opponent approves it, then I can change the result and approve it for my opponent(Play enough at the club and you will know who will find out if this occurred or not) I would think this would be more of a concern in allowing players to erase scores.

Linda, if a player won the open GNT event I do not see how they could then play on the flight A the same year since finals at the same time. If they withdraw from the open event prior to playing the flight A(not sure why they then played in open) but playing on the A to help them win and them withdraw to play in open does not seem like it should be allowed.

Now they truly get paid for winning. I'm not sure that would eliminate cheating.

I go to a building there are 40 players there to play bridge. We can use cards and bidding boxes or we can play electronically. How is playing electronically more
“green”.

I play the 0-6000 in Florida. I've played with 3 teams. 2 got overalls since a full 2 day event was played. I've played with 4 teams but they only played a day and a half and only 1 overall. I do agree that it seems like the 0-6000 (1st) should always pay more than B or C but presently that table count is not included. I do not believe it would change how many teams showed up.

I live in Florida. Play the 0-6000. I actually would try to put together a team for the open if I did not have to give up playing in A. One year they actually moved the open earlier because of a USBC qualifier but I was told I could not play in both(although I have found out several districts allow this). Unfortunately I believe would only add 1 maybe 2 teams to open flight so makes no sense to schedule it a different weekend.

Actually my worst percentage ever was a 31% game in a 5 1/2 table Howell. We ended up not playing the 19% and the 21% pair and in our sitout they both sat our direction. I actually looked since the game did not feel that bad. I would think it is not so critical at the club level. I've seen some poor seeding at sectionals and regionals depending on when pairs how up to buy entries.

Been to some Nationals and when flying out one day and not playing would kibitz the late round of a Spingold. Although I can kibitz on BBO and enjoy it not the same. Setting up a date to play with someone live versus playing with them online not the same. Going to a tournament sometimes plan who I may be going out to dinner with one night who I haven't seen in a while. On line although enjoyable is nowhere close to the same experience. If I fly to the Nationals and stay at host Hotel for 10 days or drive back and forth to bridge club for 10 days not sure there is much of a difference in going green.

I've never considered or would consider taking a couple of days of work off and to play a bridge tournament on line.

Not sure why one would think there would be less cheating on line. When the Poker boom was going on line found that far more cheating at poker on line than in real life.

Deal 2 after being in 4 making 6 stated several times loudly (6 spades is cold) then softly (after revoke). Amazing how many now bid slam.

If your sides declares you speak up before the opening lead. If defending after play of the cards.

Find a new partner.
Although would say something away from table. I actually had a partner as dummy that used to grab card from dummy before I called(left hand opponent rises or I lead small).

With this particular partner I play a card that he plays with another partner. Precision defense not on the card. Play with this person once or twice a year. We discussed quickly at table(no screens). Yes we should know better(never occurred to me that it would not apply in both cases(1 or 1 P 1). However this would I expect now required everyone to being a written defense for everything that they bid(larger than present list of required defenses)

I sit down with partner and a precision pair comes to the table for a swiss match. We say double shows majors, notrump shows minors. OK.
3rd hand first time they bid precision it goes
1 P 1 X by partner. All three bids alerted. I explain as majors. I bid 1H and I am doubled. I manage to endplay the opponents and go for 300 when they are cold for game. Different defense may have gotten me for 500. Partner intended the bid to show diamonds only.
Would opponents be entitled to redress in a CD type scenario.

If I'm EW we get 1 trick. I would have asked a few times to declarer no hearts as I do when I am declarer and neither side follows when I am pulling trump.
Those who call director are correct in the rules that they are entitled to a trick but I believe it was clear what declarer's intentions were and they pulled the wrong card. If it was a legal card(a small heart, that would be a different story) but getting an extra trick on defense because declarer confused two J's doesn't seem like the correct way to win.

Know if it is a player who always tries to gain an advantage in this type of situation that is a different story.

I've always know the law as if the card is placed where partner could potentially see it then it was a played card. Since I did see it I assumed it was a played card and acted accordingly by speaking up. Future will call director in similar situation.

I see it no different than playing a KO. The difference is more on the line if you win. I traveled(went Friday to play one session of sectional) staying over 2 nights with thought process event might only be one day depending on size or we could get knocked out and would play Swiss on Sunday. We survived to final and lost. Wish more teams would come and play but increasing first round fee would not accomplish that. Most teams playing in a KO are somewhat happy if they played good enough to make it to the finals. GNT a little different since more than masterpoints for winning this particular event.

Usually the more complicated the system the more often the convention card is folded up and in someone's pocket.
